got lots to say! firstly, sorry to all my frens whom i din inform earlier~~~! cos this france trip realli came as a short notice, about 1 week in advance only..
then got to prepare air ticket, clothings, passport stuffs and everything goes so fast and the next thing i noe i was in the plane liao.. hehe
anyway, i'll definitely share with u all the trip there!! :D
i jus came back from France, Valenciennes on monday, 3rd of dec. its definitely an eye opener, very fun, very special, very cold...
here some of the photos!
DAY 1 - alight from plane at noon.. cant rmb wat time though... and im in paris for the first time! went to climb the eiffel tower, ate some very nice bread at a rather expensive shop in the Mr Bean train station, then walk a little from Eiffel towards the Lourve, but never get to reach there cos its too far... but gives us some sightseeing and photo-taking, it was beautiful man...

DAY 2- Valenciennes, the people hand out two coupons, 'MIDI' - for lunch another name for dinner. which i also forgot already.. hahaha
okay the rest of the days we were working on our cpus.
i think the food was nice~~ and servings are great!
le phenix - along the walkway to our animation studio up a level.. its quite interesting cos along tat walkway, theres plasma tvs of short animations and after meals we could jus sit around and relax first before going up to pia animation.. hehe
solely for architectual design purposes... cos these stairways actually lead to the same level.. there are bout 5 similiar staircases here... hahaha
DAY 3: Went to Le Phenix as usual.. did animation and very kan jiong cos Tryphena and i thought we cant finish on time.. but still, we rush after dinner and surprisely manage to get quite alot of things done.. hehe so we went on to watch a movie at Garamount, part of the Emagiciens festival though. got to wear this tinted glasses, then things will appear like you're inside the scene. okay quite cool, but we take turns to fall asleep.. zzz too tired la.. at night 10pm plus liao..
DAY 4: Last day of animation!! deadline's at 12am.. and good gollie! we managed to finish at bout 8pm! yay.. so we were slacking, walking around, watching animations from downstairs plasma tvs.. is an eye opener cos about half of the animations are either about killing, emo or disgusting.. but visually, and storywise, they were quite creative.. cant imagine a story like theirs. cool.
DAY 5: party day!!!! today was semi slacking.. presentation at 10.30am for chain animators.. and i must say, the presentations of clips were so interesting la~~~~ short and sweet, and theres realli some funni comments on why they chose to do those concepts. shiok.;. and its time for last day of lunch and dinner! hur hur..im gonna miss their university food, dunno why but i find all their meals are delicious..maybe its something thats differnt from 19 years of my life.
DAY 6: YAY!! we are off to PARIS for one full day! set off at 6.30am to catch tat 6.30 bus to that train station of Valenciennes, in e end we reach Paris at bout 8.30am. din slept much, was excited bout Paris that morning~
went to check out the Notre Dame but too bad Mr. Hunchback wasn't there, Lourve (finally!), Arc de Triumph and finally Champs-Elysees. The lourve is totally an inspiring place for artists, sculptures, walls filled with ceiling size paintings. tsk tsk.. din manage to see all cos its all too big!!
and Champs-Elysees is the Orchard Road of Singapore just that their shops are usually in blocks of 3 storeys or two. Brands such as LV, Prada, Mercedes, Pergeont, Virgin Records, Planet Hollywood etc. are situated there.. so i guess that IS the place where ppl from over the world recognise Paris as the place to buy Chanel, LV, Prada. its realli quite a high society place...jus that it looks like orchard road. hehe
